s JUBILEE by Sally Fraser
30 x 36 on wrapped canvas. A lively, colorful , and heavily textured acrylic painting.
It flows with energy, patterns and uninhibited painting to create a visual response.
The abstract was NFS for years as it resided in the bathroom, because I loved the colors and looking at this abstract. Maybe I should give up and sale it? One of the first forays into making a mixed media abstract. Collages have always been a favorite and this has collage elements on a scale of 20 x 16 on wrapped canvas. The gold metallic underpainting peeps through all around. I'll miss it if it sells. I have been told ,"do not fall in love with your paintings" For more art work go to :www.sallyfraserfineart.com sngfraser @gmail.com .com
BEES AND BLOOMS. Some small oil series to get back in touch with working in oils. Since I love gardening and keeping a biodiverse environment around my house in Austin, Texas, it is an immense satisfaction to see bees, birds and butterflies flitting around the garden. Winter supplies seeds for the birds. Flowers are not my usual choice to paint , however, it was satisfying to paint a few small oils. These are Birds and Bees oils are 8x19 on canvas board. Updating old paintings that have been around , now and then showing them, but finally realizing with new artistic eyes you begin to drag them out again and really look . Some go in the trash. Hard to do. I didn't give up on these two paintings and refreshed them , fixed what I thought were the problems . It was an outing to Fredericksburg one spring and we went to the Fredericksburg Gardens and what a picture of tons of wildflowers. I proceeded to paint two oil 24x8 panels with two inch sides . Okay, many years later they are still around. Stacking them up for a photo, I realized they could sell like that, much more contemporary looking. With some minor adjustments these paintings are now worthy, I think! www.sallyfraserfineart.com sngfraser @gmail.com Price $250 for both Does not include shipping.
