FRESH PAINT

                                          MEDETATION   a small 8x10 acrylic on canvas by  Sally Fraser.  Sometimes a quick piece of art developes  and it feels finished. This abstract largely white with glimmering gold and some irridecant  bronze shows through.

    Sally Fraser      I changed the Title to Vintage Glam  so I am reposting the painting.      Oil on Canvas  24 x 26 Going back 40 years I visited  a Cezanne Exhibition in Houston, Texas 8 times.  I couldn't get enough !  Copies of his work still hang in my house.  I've since moved on , however, in a Don Sahle Class,  he set up still life's and there I was again!  This time it was a Russian technique that he taught, but the aura remains.  So my heart may be back to still life!                                                 MIDNIGHT TANGO       THE TANGO  is a romantic, sensual dance that began with the Italian and Spanish immigrants to Uruguay, Argentina and Buenos Aires in the late 1800's. While traveling in Italy, I came across a very old black and white poster and took a photo of this exact couple . Midnight Tango is painted from that photo and I added the colors of the white dress and the off-white shirt and the purple background.
